To deliberate on issues concerning MATHEMATICS EDUCATION.

The Association of Mathematics Teachers of India has been organizing conferences in various parts of the country to meet and deliberate on important issues of Mathematics Education, particularly at school level. Besides the usual inauguration, valedictory functions, there will be endowment / memorial lectures on applied mathematics, methodology and history of mathematics, group discussions, exhibitions, recreations in mathematics, paper presentations, students sessions, Quiz-written and oral, Distinguished Mathematics teacher awards, cultural programmes and visit(s) to places of historical / mathematical interest. This apart, the hosts have the privilege to include some more items depending on the time frame. The life members will pay delegate fees at concessional rates. The details for attending may be got from the copy of the notice and programme of the 50th conference given below.

Rules for Participation:

Papers for presentation may be about four to five pages of A4 size. Presentation of the paper and participatory discussions should be precise, relevant and are subject to the time limit prescribed by the chairpersons for the various sessions. Soft copy of the same may be sent and brought for presentation.

Papers / Exhibits for approval:

Typed abstract within 200 words along with the Registration form and delegate amount to reach the office of the AMTI by01-10-2018
Full length papers (three copies) with CD to reach by 15-10-2018
Acceptance or otherwise by AMTI will be intimated by 15-11-2018

Payment of delegate amount and registration may not be linked to paper acceptance and presentation.

  • Downloading from the net and presenting a topic as such should be strictly avoided.
  • Ideas can be down loaded and some amount of original value addition work must be visible.
  • Original results or alternate proofs of mathematical results can be presented.
  • Uncommon elementary mathematical results with good amount of pedagogical skills will be allowed.
  • Even common results with new pedagogical skills will also be allowed.

Number of student-participants:

Along with a student paper- presenter, not more than 2 (students / teachers / parents / elders) are allowed subject to payment of delegate fees.

  • A teacher or student can bring exhibits.
  • The write up of each exhibit must be approved by AMTI.
  • The last date for submitting write up of exhibits is 1st October 2018.
  • (a) The filled in application form and
    (b) ) A Demand Draft in favour of “The Association of Mathematics Teachers of India” payable at Chennai for the amount to be sent to AMTI
  • No other form of payment is acceptable from out station Institutions and the amount paid once is not refundable on any account.
  • Entries without the Data Sheet will not be entertained.
